The Johnny Appleseed Festival is a cooperative effort of the Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Department; Settlers Inc. and Theta Chapter of Psi Iota Xi Sorority. Representatives from these organizations along with Area Representative volunteers  make up the Board of Directors of the Johnny Appleseed Festival Inc.

There are some special people we would like to thank: IPFW, Memorial Coliseum, Fort Wayne Police Department, Allen County Sherriff's Department, ERS Communications, Concordia High School, Delta Sigma Kappa Sorority, Fort Wayne Street Lighting Department, Concordia JROTC, Bishop Dwenger Track Team and Tom Moberg.
