IMPORTANT FESTIVAL INFORMATION


NEW IN 2009:  This will be our 35th anniversary and we will have a souvenir tent with many trinkets and hand made crafts that will only be found during the 35th anniversary.  Don't forget to stop by and check things out!

 

FESTIVAL INFORMATION AND PROGRAMS: Festival information and programs can be found at the Information tent. New this year, we have listed the food that the food vendors will be selling.


FESTIVAL SHOPPING BAGS: Johnny Appleseed Festival bags are available in the Information Tent, thanks to Meijer's.


FESTIVAL ATM: We will have an ATM located on the East end of Harry Baals drive near the campground bath house and medic tent #2.


THE FESTIVAL WISHING WELL: Gifts to the Wishing Well help various organizations each year. Stop by the wishing well and see what special and well deserving organization is to be helped this year. Please consider dropping a donation to help the cause.

FESTIVAL PARKING: Parking for the Johnny Appleseed Festival is available in the Memorial Coliseum Parking lot for a small fee. FREE parking is available on the Indiana/Purdue Fort Wayne (IPFW) campus off of Coliseum Blvd. and the Concordia High School parking lot on N. Anthony Blvd. Buses to the Festival grounds run continuously from Concordia and IPFW.  The cost to ride the bus is .50 each way.


FIRST AID : Medical attention is available at the First Aid Station. The location is marked on the Festival map with a cross.


LOST AND FOUND: Lost children and found articles should be taken to the Festival Information Tent.


RESTROOMS: Restrooms and port-a-potties are marked on the Festival map. The full-service restrooms on Harry Baals Dr. also have handicap-accessible facilities.


PETS: NO PETS are permitted on the Festival Grounds with exception of service animals or contracted performers.


JOHNNY APPLESEED GRAVESITE: Visit John Chapman's (Johnny Appleseed) grave, which has been designated a national landmark. The grave is at the top of the hill in the midst of the Festival.


MEET JOHNNY APPLESEED: Stop by the Children's area to meet John Chapman, portrayed by Scott Mertz, and enjoy other family entertainment. John Chapman performs at 10 A.M., 2 P.M. & 5:30 P.M. on Saturday and Noon & 4:30 P.M. on Sunday.


GRAVESITE SERVICE: Sunday morning at 9:30am at the Main Festival Stage just below the gravesite.


THE GATHERING OF THE BANDS: A joint performance featuring Amazing Grace with all Fife & Drum, and Pipe bands at 2:00p.m. both Saturday and Sunday in the Pioneer Village and Demonstrators Area. Each will perform solo, then all will join to perform Amazing Grace. You will not soon forget this memorable experience.
